23 Productivity Tips to Take Your Life and Business to the Next Levelš„
We live in a society where the busier you are, the more you are deemed to be successful. But from personal experience, I know this isnāt true!
Whatās more important - wayyy more important - than being busy, is how productive you are. How much do you get done daily to not only maintain, but to grow, in the time you allocate to working?
Your working day could be just three hours long, but in fact could actually be so much more productive than your neighbours, who appears to be busy from dawn until dusk!
As entrepreneurs, it is vital that we utilise our time as much as we can, so we donāt end up being amongst those who live to work; rather we work to enable us to live full, happy and healthy lives.
In this blog post, Iām sharing 23 productivity tips from my own life experience that can and will help you to take your life and business to the next level.
Iām so excited to share these with you! Letās go....

1. Focus on your vision and goals
If you have an idea of what you want your life to look like, this makes working towards that life so much easier.
I highly recommend spending some time on creating your ultimate life vision, splitting that vision up into different areas and then breaking that down into easy-to-maintain goals.
Check out this blogpost for some more help in this area.
2. Have belief
Iām telling you right now that your life vision will not be possible, until you begin to truly and deeply believe in yourself.
Self-belief is everything - and yet for some, is one of the most difficult things they may ever have to do. This is why you need to work on your self-belief every single day.
Listen to positive affirmations throughout your day, stick positive quotes around your work space, meditate, visualise and journal. Habits like these can slowly help to change your current thoughts about yourself into more positive beliefs.
You just need to show up every day, do the work, believe that what you want is possible and that you will find a way.
3. Optimise your environment
Your environment needs to inspire you. It needs to be a place where you are happy and comfortable, and that energises you to do the things you need to do to achieve the life you wish to live.
Why not rearrange the furniture? Put your desk near the window so you can see the sky? Bring in some plants, put up a vision board and stick some inspiring and motivating quotes or images on the walls?
Make your working environment a place where you actually want to go and work!
4. Have proactive focus
Before you begin your working day, make a list of things you want to focus on for the day. For me, that is generally growth tasks such as content creation so Iāll list down the things I need to do.
Donāt overwhelm yourself though. Write down a few things you want to focus on for that day, and focus ONLY on them. This will definitely help you to be more proactive and get more done!
5. Focus on a feel-good state
Feeling low, down or depleted of energy really isnāt the optimal state to be doing your best work; if youāre feeling like this, you probably donāt even want to work.
This is why it is so important to get yourself in a feel-good state! A lot of this comes down to your mental state, so what can you do to get yourself feeling good, both in mind and body?
You might think Iām crazy, but one thing I do is jump up and down on a trampoline! All those endorphins flowing around my body, and the energy I put into jumping, actually creates more energy and gets me really pumped up and raring to go! Mentally I feel ready, and physically I feel strong - and the combination of the two is a winning formula to conquering your day.
6. Watch your language
Nothing is more impactful on your life than your own inner voice. Your inner voice will determine the words you speak, and the words you speak are what you will become.
So what are you saying to yourself, every single day?
Choose positive, affirming, empowering language over negative or neither-here-nor-there language. If someone asks you how you are, instead of replying, āHmm not badā, tell them that youāre doing fantastic!
Tell yourself and others that you are a winner; you are a warrior, you are a champion and that you can do, be and have anything that you desire. Your life will change, guaranteed.

7. Listen to motivating music
My playlist is filled with empowering and motivational music, and thereās nothing I love more than listening to those words, feeling that beat and allowing that incredible energy to flow through my body.
Make yourself a playlist of high-energy music that makes you feel GOOD, and listen to it when you get up in the morning, when youāre going for your daily run or when youāre in the shower. It reallys makes a hell of a difference!
8. Sleep well
The older I get, the more and more I recognise the value of quality sleep. The older I get, the more I realise that periods of rest and recovery are vital to doing your best work. So make sure youāre getting a good night of quality sleep every single night!
Take some time to learn more about sleep, and to experiment too. What can you cut out of your day that ensures you sleep better at night? For some, thatās no caffeine after 3pm and things such as no screens an hour before bed.
9. Eat well
The most commonly used cliches are also the truest cliches, and there is absolutely no doubt about that fact that you are what you eat.
Your body is your temple and you have a responsibility to take care of it. Make a conscious decision to only feed it nourishing, good-quality food. Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and make sure you hydrate well throughout the day.
Eating well will make you feel great, leading to increased levels of productivity. A healthy body = a healthy mind = a healthy life, so make this a priority.
10. Move
In addition to the above, taking care of your body also includes moving your body. Daily exercise gives you more energy and makes you feel great!
You could even set yourself a goal, if exercise is something that you find difficult to get started with. Apps such as Couch to 5K are great to get you going on your journey.
11. Create a distraction-free zone
Protect your working environment by creating a distraction-free zone.
For me, this includes turning off all notifications on my phone or turning my phone onto airplane mode. I also use an app called Cold Turkey on my desktop, which blocks distracting websites, games and other applications, boosting my productivity and giving me more time to work on what I need to work on.
12. Attend masterminds
Go and learn from the masters! Itās the best way.
Attending events like this will teach you new things, re-energise you and give the opportunity to network and meet like-minded people.

13. Watch the company you keep
Following on from the last point, you can quite easily become the company you keep - this can be a positive thing or a negative thing, depending on the people that you surround yourself with.
Do the people in your everyday life inspire you, motivate you and uplift you? These are questions you need to be asking yourself.
If the answer is no, itās time to move on and find your crowd.
14. Create an outstanding day design
Plan your day, each and every day, so that when it comes to the evening you can sit down and truly say āthat was a day well spent!ā.
You can split your outstanding day design into morning, daytime and evening and assign particular tasks to certain time slots.
Which takes us nicely on to....
15. Have morning and evening rituals
Optimise your day fully by implementing morning and evening rituals that will really help you to win your day.
As part of your morning ritual, I highly recommend waking up earlier than most people and taking some contemplative/reflective time (which might include meditating, visualisation, journalling or all three!). I also find exercising early in the morning gives you mounds of energy for the day ahead.
Your evening rituals could include family time, eating your evening meal with the people you love, reading, journalling and winding down before you sleep, ready to get up early and do it all again the following day!
16. Celebrate
Sometimes we so easily overlook our wins, but being an entrepreneur is no easy feat and itās time to celebrate!
Whenever you achieve something new or reach a new goal, always take some time to congratulate yourself and celebrate your victory. It doesnāt have to be anything massive, but just make sure you acknowledge yourself and the hard work youāve done.
And for the big wins, go all out! Because, hey, why not? You deserve it.
17. Find coaches and mentors
Coaches and mentors can come in many forms - whether thatās through books, events or online courses. As long as youāre constantly learning, working on yourself and developing your business, then youāre a winner.
If youāre in the position where you can afford to pay someone to mentor you, then even better! Investing in yourself should always be your number one priority, and learning from people that have achieved the things you want to achieve, is the best way to go.
18. Go to events and seminars
Whatever field youāre in, as an entrepreneur, the learning journey is crucial to your success.
Book yourself in for events and seminars throughout the year. As well as giving you something to look forward to, these are great opportunities that get you out of the home or office, meeting other people and learning something new.

19. Enroll in courses
Again, as part of your learning journey, enroll in online courses and schedule time into your days where you will do them.
The new skills you learn can only help you to develop your business further, and so, improve your life - and with all the information we could ever want, now at the tip of our fingers, thereās no excuse not to.
Personally, through online courses, Iāve learnt how to build a website, how to start a blog and so, so much in terms of my Amazon business. The world is truly our oyster!
20. Make a 1-10 year plan
Do a goal-setting workshop and decide what you want out of life within the next ten years. From this point, you can break down that ten year period into year-by-year periods.
Once youāve got your yearly periods, you can take this year and break that down even further, setting yourself weekly action plans and monthly goals to achieve. Making a plan like this, makes it more likely that you will put it into action.
21. Do monthly goals reports
Keep yourself accountable and celebrate your wins by doing monthly goals reports. This is a great way to track your progress throughout the year and highlight which areas you need to work more on.
I choose to do these publicly and share them on my channel and blog, but by no means do you need to do the same. Just do it. As long as you know where youāre at, thatās whatās most important.
22. Check your laptop and phone setup
How are laptop/desktop and phone set up currently? Could this be optimised to make you more productive?
Organise the setup on both devices to make it as easy to use, organised and manageable as possible. Less clutter means more space to think and work.
23. Automate and create leverage
Finally, weāre all working so hard so we can create leverage, automate our businesses as much as possible, and spend more time doing the things we love with the people we love, right?
Begin to research and experiment with automation. Iām going to be honest - these things do take time and through my own experience, Iāve learnt that nothing will work perfectly straight away. But the sooner you begin to look into doing this, the quicker it will happen.
Automating certain aspects of your business gives you more time and energy to focus elsewhere - so you can grow your business and enrich your life even further.
Make this year your most productive yet!
And thatās everything, folks!
If youāve made it this far, well done and I wish you the very best of luck in implementing these 23 productivity tips to take your life and business to the next level.
Remember, nothing will change if you donāt take massive action - so start now. Start today.
Hereās to your massive success,
Kev
