7 Step Process For Setting Goals 🌱 & Taking Action 💪 | Success In Personal Development 🏆 | Ep 11
I’ve just released my Monthly Goal Report and I’ve had a couple of people ask me how I’ve set and structured my year out and how I take massive action, so I’m hoping this will allow you to achieve the goals you set for yourself!
Setting goals and taking action
It’s all about the things you want in your life and building towards it, whether it’s your business, your personal life or your health and fitness.
What’s most important to you?
The first thing I did was think about what areas of my life are the most important.
Once you’ve done this and picked your areas of life, it’s time to think about your vision.
What is the vision you have for each area of your life?
You need to know where you’re going, so if one of your areas is health and fitness, maybe your vision is to have a six-pack. Ultimately, this is what it comes down to and it’s so important so you know how to take action!
Come up with a dream list
This is a bucket list process where you go through your ultimate dreams and categorise them through each area of your life.
List out the things you want to achieve in the next year
You want to make a timeline for all your goals on your dream list and then decide which ones you want to achieve in the next year!
Filter the goals
You’re going to have three classes of goals, under A, B and C.
A-type goals are classed under “I know I can do it”
B-type goals are classed under “I think I can do it”
C-type goals are classed under “I really don’t know”
I suggest that in every area of your life, you set yourself two A goals, two B goals and one C goal.
This is great because it builds momentum as you achieve the goals you know you can achieve and move on to the harder ones!
Are they progression or fixed type goals?
A fixed type goal might be losing a certain amount of weight for an occasion, whereas a progression type goal might be building a business to a million pounds revenue!
Plan your year in quarters
After you’ve done the above, you want to only look at three months at a time! This is where it all ties together and becomes the goals you want to achieve for the
