Amazon FBA For Beginners 2018: 7 Key Elements To An Amazon Listing For Online Arbitrage Success

Learning to understand an Amazon listing is one of the most important things that you could do to begin with as an Amazon seller and as a beginner in Amazon FBA. When we look at an Amazon listing, it is telling us specific things about that product that you need to know and understand if you’re going to be a successful Amazon seller.

I want to share with you in an Amazon FBA listing tutorial where you’re going to learn the important elements of an Amazon listing, what we use it for and why it’s so important for you to look for this information if you are starting as an Amazon seller.

Watch the video below:

I’ve made a free course available called online arbitrage mastery course. The foundation course of the online arbitrage mastery is going to share with you exactly how to sell using online arbitrage sourcing products from retail stores and then making the profit by selling them on Amazon. The fundamental key part of you being successful is being able to source products and correctly read an Amazon listing. In Module 2 (Sourcing Profitable Inventory) of my free course called online arbitrage mastery course, there is an actual lesson called understanding Amazon listings. I am going to give you a good understanding of all the different elements of a product listing on Amazon, why we use it and what it’s actually telling you. I will share with you initial understanding that we all need on how to be successful with online arbitrage.

Sign up to the FREE course and it’ll be all come clear to you there.

There are seven key elements to each Amazon listing and each of the seven are used to gather data regarding each product and decision we make. These are the: title, description, image, ASIN, bestsellers rank, category, and the Buy Box Price. We have a purpose for each of these seven.

1| TITLE

We use it to make sure that the product is identical to the one that we are sourcing.

2| DESCRIPTION

Similar to the title, we use it to make sure that the one we are sourcing is identical on Amazon.

3| IMAGE

We use this to determine whether the product is, again, identical on Amazon. One of the leading cases of bad customer feedback is when we are sending products to customers that are not identical and not as described, so use all the data we have available.

4| ASIN

The ASIN is found under the product information section and it is what Amazon use to identify each product that they have. The purposes of this is for product identification, tracking sales history, and tracking price history.

5| BEST SELLERS RANK

Also found under the product information section, Amazon lists the best sellers rank. I like to say it’s how long has it been since the product has sold last. Amazon ranks their products from number one to millions, number one being the best selling product and it will have sold right now and again and again.

So how do we use the best sellers rank? Has the product ever sold? First of all, if the product does not have the best sellers rank, it is never sold. Is the product currently selling? We use the best sellers rank and understand whether it’s actually currently selling or not. The lower the rank is, the chances are it’s been weeks or months or maybe even been years since the product is sold. And, what is the rate of sales of this product? We use the best sellers rank to track and see how many times a product is sold.

6| CATEGORY

The category is what classification of product it is listed under on the Amazon marketplace. There are many categories from Toys and Games to Kitchen and Home. The size of the categories vary a lot as some have millions of products and others only have thousands of products. You can check all categories supplied on Amazon using the search section on the site.

7| BUY BOX PRICE

The buy box price is the actual price that the product is selling for. For example, the product Spiderman Titan series 12-inch figure is being sold for £11.95. The buy box says Add to basket. The seller called Leisure Zone holds the buy box. When somebody goes into this product, it is the Leisure Zone that is selling the product.

Very important: we need to make sure that the products we are selling have this buy box and you have to be able to compete with the buy box. So if you are purchasing a product and want to sell it for more money than the £11.95, then pass on that product unless it’s within your margin otherwise you just won’t be able to compete.

ASSIGNMENTS: Your assignments in this lesson is simply review at least five different Amazon listings, five different products listed on Amazon and ensure you know exactly where to find each critical element that we use. Make sure you understand how we use the title, the description, the ASIN, and the buy box.
