Amazon FBA Listing Tutorial: Adding Your First Products To Seller Central
Today, we’re going through an Amazon FBA listing tutorial where you're going to learn how to add a product to your seller central account. The goal is to share with you stepby step how you can add anyproduct that you potentially want to sell into your Amazon seller central.
One of the most important things that you need to do when you're first starting out is: can you sell the product in the first place?
Before purchasing any product or spending any money potentially going to buy a product, you want to check to make sure it's naturally a winning product that you can sell and the way we can do that is we add it to our inventory or seller central account and then your seller central account will tell you whether you can add that product or not. There may be some restrictions involved There may be specific reasons why you can’t add a product.
So what I'm gonna do is a part of the FREE online arbitrage mastery course, I'm going to share with you that full listing tutorial in adding in multiple products into your seller central account so you can start shipping your products.
We are now going to start adding products to your inventory. You need to add the products into your seller central account which will allow you to create your shipment and ready to ship them to Amazon's fulfillment centers.
First Step: Get the ASIN
In this blog, I just want to make an example of adding aproduct to your inventory so this is just a random product I've just I've just clicked on. It's a Sony Bluetooth over head headphones. This will apply to any product that you may have found. If you are now in possession or waiting for your products to arrive from Amazon, this is the perfect time to start adding your products.
Imagine that I was selling this product now for £94.99 so what I want to do is to add this product into our inventory or seller central account at that price. To do this, take the ASIN from your spreadsheet or from the listing itself wherever you want to get it from.
Second Step: Go to Inventory Tab
Go on over to your seller central account in the Inventory tab then Manage Inventory. This is going to be your live inventory that isavailable on Amazon right now. There's Manage FBA Inventory so you're going to have products in there that maybe arenot live or thepast products that you may have had once upon a time. Then there's Add a Product.
Third Step: Add a Product
If this is the first time you are adding aproduct or havesourced this item I will always Add a Product because if you click on Manage FBA Inventory and if I was to search for those headphones and press Search, there's no items that match my search criteria. Amazon knows that I haven't added this product before so what I'm going to do then is I'm going to Add a Product and then in the List a new product, enter the ASIN then press Search.
This is this is a very good example to show you may come across an issue access request approval, wherein you need approval to sell this brand. Basically it's a Sony brand which is being sold by Amazon right now so there may be a potential conflict in the brand in terms of selling a refurbished or used item.
It does say Sell yours so you know I could click this now if I wanted to request approval. That is more of an advanced thing and there is a certain criteria to follow but you just need to be aware that there are some products which you cannot sell.
Depending on where your restrictions lie, I always recommend starting with like the toys but any product that you get you will have to potentially go through the request approval stage.
So what I'm going to do is search for just a normal product because I want you to do that on purpose just so you can see potentially what may happen with you.
So I'm going to go and add this toy product so I'm going to take the ASIN, go back and list a new product.
Fourth Step: Sell Yours
Click on See All product details then confirm if that is the same product and then we're going to go Sell yours.
So in this example, we are going to match the buy box. That's all we do, we match the seller so you know your winning item. There may be different prices,so you just gonna have to make sure that you are matching the seller, in this case, it is $5.99.
In the simple view of the Offer tab, you would then put your price that's just $5.99, condition is New, and then the fulfillment channel checkbox “I want Amazon to dispatch.” That is basically the FBA, so you need to make sure you've got that ticked. Click Save and finish.
Amazon is going to put this into the the send/replenish inventory shipping plan. This is the shipment planning so at this point now, we would potentially create a shipping plan but for this lesson, we are adding a product so what we'll be able to do is if I go back to manage FBA inventory, what we should find is if I search for the product we've just added, Amazon should now recognize that we have just added that product so you can see that the product is now in our inventory list. You can see it is there for $5.99 as I added. So that just basically we've just added it so in terms of adding products we are now good to go. We have added our first product.
