How To Escape The Rat Race & Become FREE From Your Day Job?

The rat race is not where you want to be. I know that, and if you’re in the rat race, you know that too. In the video above, I show you a visual representation of the rat race, as well as some tips on how to escape the rat race.

This is going to take commitment, but stick with me here.

The Rat Race

I was an electrical apprentice back in 2006. When I was working as an electrical apprentice, hoping to become an electrical engineer, I was on 340 pounds per month. As I went through the apprenticeship, when I got to the fourth year, my wage was 950 pounds per month. Great, my wage had increased threefold in three years.

Fast forward four years, I became an electrical engineering team leader, and my wage was up to 2200 pounds per month. That’s how my wage increased over eight years. This is the rat race. I got paid on the 10^th of the month. I made sure that all my outgoings happened on the 10^th of every month. I had to plan everything for the 10^th.

On the 10^th, my wage would come in and I would immediately pay all of my expenses. Of the 2200 pounds I was getting, 1600 pounds of that would go straight out of my bank; within hours.

Over the course of the next month, you treat yourself and spend a bit, then your reserves deplete as you’re simply buying your essentials. More often than not, by the 27^th, I’d have no money left. Some people go beyond that and even go into the minus numbers. Once you’re there, you’re stuck in the rat race. The same process has to repeat itself month after month after month.

Escape The Rat Race

How do we escape the rat race and break this cycle? There’s some you can do with Money Management – check out the video.

One thing I did was start to take massive action outside of work. It sounds like a tall order, but what I was doing at the time was working from 8am to 4pm and taking massive action either side. I picked an Online Business Model that fitted my life and my preferences; online arbitrage.

I was straight up at 6am, giving me two hours to do manual sourcing. I was finding products online and doing the necessary research to find out if I could purchase that product to sell at a profit.

Between work, I used to have a 30 minute break for lunch. I stopped reading the newspaper and started doing more research. I started purchasing on my lunch. Then when I got home, I’d be prepping my orders for Amazon. After three or four weeks, I started getting some sales, which gave me additional income. That 2200 pounds started to move higher, allowing me to start paying off expenses earlier.

Earning More

It got to a point where I was earning more from online arbitrage that I was earning in my actual day job. That’s the point where I quit, focused on Money Management and I really focused in on abundance and promoting wealth in my life.

Online arbitrage is just something I did in my life. There are plenty of online business models which you can undertake at home. I wanted to be at home with my family, and I needed to pick an online business that really promoted that; so I went with Amazon FBA. There are so many things you can do using the internet, and all they take is work.

You have to be committed and disciplined while you’re still working, taking that time before and after to take massive action. You have to be sick of the rat race and you really have to be ready to escape the rat race.

I thought to myself, “I’m not doing this anymore.” And that was enough for me. If you escape the rat race, it allows you to invest in yourself; the most important person in your life.

Time

When I had started to make real profit, I was able to hire a team and a virtual assistant. These steps allowed me so much more time to do what I love. A big part of that is creating content for the Life Success Engineer brand, which I couldn’t have focused on at work. I have since recruited more and more people into my business, allowing us to provide a better value and service to the world.

That is literally a real life example of how to escape the rat race. There’s nothing fancy, it’s just about committing to the process of working and taking massive action at the same time. Some people are lucky enough to see this before they’ve joined the rat race, and maybe they can cut out that step.

However, I have no doubt in my mind that if you’re in your 9-5 job or a shift job, you’re in the rat race. I know what it feels like. Some days I was doing double shifts or I’d get called out in the middle of the night. But guess what, sacrifice some time. Take some time here and there to get motivated, get inspired, take action and escape the rat race.

I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to work on your terms. Having multiple streams of income and working for yourself is the best feeling. When you manage to systematize those businesses, it gives you more freedom, then you’re really in the fast lane. You can really start to take action and improve your life forever.
