Grit is passion!

You’ve got to have passion for the things that you do in your life. Whatever it is, you’ve got to have some passion. If you want to be successful in your business, how successful do you want to be? How much does it mean to you? Your passion is not going to lie because your passion plays out in your life.

How often do you get up early in the morning? How late do you stay up at night taking massive action? How much passion do you have? It’s going to come through and show in what you do

Grit is hope!

You’ve got to have hope and harness the hope that you will be successful. You’ve got to have some hope to overcome your challenges. Some days it’s all that might keep you going toward a brighter tomorrow.

Grit is desire!

You’ve got to have that desire and build it within you to want more.

Grit requires something bigger than yourself!

If you want to develop grit and continuously take massive action towards the things that you want in your life, whether that’s business, health and fitness, relationships, lifestyle, whatever it is, it’s got to be bigger than yourself. You’ve got to have something more to go for. You’ve got to want to impact people. That comes from being bigger than yourself. The people who are selfish and only care about themselves, they’re only going to get so far.

You’ve got to have a reason to go further than anybody else. You’ve got to have that reason to keep pushing longer than anybody else. That only happens when you have a purpose that is bigger than yourself.

Grit is tenacity!

You’ve got to have that tenacity to keep going regardless of what results you’re getting there in the moment. You’ve got to have that tenacity to keep going and have that vision that’s greater than yourself. Have that vision that you will achieve no matter what.

Grit is determination and inspiration!

This is what’s going to get you through the hard times. There will be times when you could think it’s not working for you, they’re the times when people start to drop out. We all come across hurdles, but it’s those with hope, determination, inspiration, tenacity and passion will make it over those hurdles.

You’re going to do it for yourself, your family, your friends and become a person so far greater than you ever thought was possible, and it all develops grit!

The two things that I do on a continuous basis to develop grit...

The first thing is simple... Practice. Practice is the simplest thing that you could do to start training and developing your grit; simply practice. The first time you do anything, you’re going to be crap at it. That is the reality of anything. If you play golf for the first time, you are going to be crap at it, but as long as you’re willing to turn up knowing you’re putting in the time, that time every day is going to develop grit.

Number two is to challenge yourself. Stop shying away from hard things. We all have to do hard things. We all have to have conversations we don’t want to have, we all have to crunch those numbers in our business that we don’t want to do. We all have to come across those hard things that we put off on a daily basis.

But if you practice doing the hardest things, they’ll become easier things. Maybe not today, maybe not next month, but in six months, 12 months, two years, I can’t tell you the difference you will achieve in your life just be developing grit.

Everything I am I put down to grit. I’ve got hope, desire, determination, a reason bigger than myself, I’m practicing all the time, I have that desire and tenacity. You need to question yourself, look yourself in the eye and say, how committed are you? Develop that grit, it will be the best thing you ever do!
