How To Avoid Burnout & Take Massive Action Every Day with Unstoppable Energy
To take massive action, you need energy. I want to share with you how you can have unstoppable energy and avoid burnout, helping you to take massive action every day.
Watch the video below…
I want to share my ideas around optimizing your energy levels because this, my friends, is a marathon; not a sprint. When you’re building a business or doing anything that will change your life, it’s all about who’s still going at the same rate today as the day they started. That is what sets the successful people apart.
There are different types of burnout you can experience when taking massive action, from mental breakdown and physical breakdown to simply brain-block, where you just can’t think of any new ideas.
If you experience any of these types of burnout, it can be so difficult to see the end on the horizon. So with that, I think it’s incredibly important to share some of the things I’ve learned about how to keep energy levels up!
What I’ve Done
I’ve been going at the same level of intensity for the last three years, and I’ve followed principles that I live by every single day for taking massive action.
When I talk about productivity, you need to understand that productivity does not mean working 22 hours a day, hustling. That is not my definition of productivity. Productivity is all about taking maximum possible action in minimal time, allowing you to protect your physical and mental wellbeing.
We only have a certain amount of mental power, willpower and energy – as well as time – that we can spend on taking massive action.
So my first step was in understanding that productivity is about taking massive action consistently over a long period of time. There is no such thing as instant sustainable results. Once you can understand that productivity is efficient action, you’ll start to think differently.
How can we leverage our resources?
All of us have the same resources, so what can we do to maximize the efficiency. Your mindset is the most important piece of this puzzle.
If I took you to the start of a race and you didn’t know how long it would be – marathon or sprint – you would have to go into this race anticipating that it could be the worst case scenario. It could be a full marathon, so you’re not going to sprint right out of the gate because after 100 meters of 26 miles, you’re going to burn out.
Find Your Pace
You need to work to your capacity to get through the first stage quickly but with enough energy left over to run for as long as the race might last.
You don’t know how long it’s going to take to achieve success in business, so keeping a steady pace is way more important than smashing yourself out of the blocks and ending up exhausted.
You could be in building this business for five years or longer, and you have to be prepared and in it for the long-haul.
My Start
When I got started in 2015, I had to be mindful that I may not achieve any of my goals until 2020 – or even later. I was okay with that because I’m realistic, but so many people go flying out of the gate without that long-term mindset.
Growth Tasks
Your growth tasks are things you do every day – but not busy tasks, rather they are tasks that help you fulfill your wider goals.
Outsourcing
I took what money I had and decided I could multiply my actions for a reasonable price by outsourcing the more menial tasks to other people! There are tons of things we all do that could be done by somebody else. Now I have teams in every part of my business and they all help keep my world turning, leaving me time free to focus on the next big idea.
Batching
I create videos in batches. I may not use all of them, but when I come to post a video on my Youtube Channel, I have a batch of three or so videos to choose from, allowing me a surplus for times when I’m maybe to busy to film new content.
What could you batch? Could you batch emails, for instance? There could be a number of things in your business you could batch in order to save time later. That is efficiency.
Mindset
You have to take care of what your visions and goals are. What is the bigger picture? Why does it matter? Why do you want it?
Only you can decide why it means so much to you. Once you’ve piled up all the reasons why it is a must for you, those reasons will push you through all the actions you have to take.
Everyone comes across stuff they don’t want to have to deal with, but if your reasons are big enough and clear enough, you will simply take massive action when you have to!
For me, I wanted to create freedom. I quit my job and forced this upon myself, so I HAVE to keep going and keep taking massive action.
Your Body
You must look after the way you rest, how you fuel your body and how you exercise. I exercise regularly and that means I can get so much more out of my body than I used to. Some people are exhausted because they’re not putting the right nutrients in their body.
Rituals
Before you do anything, you need to approach it with high energy. When I create a video, I pump myself up. I think about why I’m making a video, why I care what the person watching it thinks and what I want them to get out of it.
If you lack energy in the mornings, create a morning ritual. Do something that gets your energy up! Even if it’s just music, do something to get yourself PUMPED.
I hope you found some of these tips useful. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything you do that creates energy for you!
