I use this web app to find my product ideas, potentially to test, to then potentially private label in the future! If you’re new to my journey, up until this point, I’ve been going through what I’ve been doing and why I’m doing it and what my profitable product criteria is as well as how you can search for products manually.
Online arbitrage to private label!
I’m now at a point where I really want to delve deeper into private label, test products and see what can be done and what action I can take because this is really exciting for me now. Everything in my business is automated, I’m very happy with the systems I’ve created in my online arbitrage business and it’s now time to get into the private label business!
Jungle Scout have basically made the whole Amazon marketplace databases available for us to put in our filters, which then allows us to filter out specific products that match our filters and then we can start to analyze products in much more detail.
It helps find those keywords and really get into whether there’s opportunity there or not. Now, this is going to be really straightforward and I’m going to go through the process with you!
Step 1: Your marketplace
I’m choosing the UK – if you don’t have the Jungle Scout web app, you can do all of this manually. Obviously having a tool like this is going to make it a lot easier for you.
You can focus in on any category you want, you can select all or just pick the ones you want. For the purpose of today’s guide, and thinking about the time of the year, I’m going to pick Garden and Outdoors, and Kitchen and Home as well.
For the filters, I’ve chosen minimum $10 and the maximum at $30,000. I’ve put estimated sales at 200 or more, and the reviews at maximum 100 and the weight of two. You can modify these filters as your leisure. You can really get into what works and what doesn’t, and that’s what I’m doing.
You can go into the product tiers, if it’s standard or oversized, you can search different keywords, you can really do what you want.
Step 2: Go through the search
My outcome is to have a specific keyword that I want to target, that I can potentially test. If I can test that keyword and if it was going to work if I were to private label it, that’s my aim!
On the other hand, I could end up with a golden gap in online arbitrage!
I’m looking for something that’s potentially private label eligible, so for example, if my search comes up with a washable lint roller, what I can do at this point is add it to my product tracker. I can also view on Amazon, so this link will open on Amazon so I can analyse it a bit more.
Product research
This is where the research comes in because you are looking for a product that isn’t too complicated or heavy. For instance, you’re not going to be looking at vac filters or anything like that. It’s going to be something that’s easy and readily available that I can test.
80%-90% of your time is going to be spent researching products and looking for ideas.
Going back to the washable lint roller example, you have to think about the keywords. “Washable” is obviously a good benefit to this lint roller but if I was to think about the keyword, I would imagine it is a lint roller.
So if were to just search for lint roller in all departments, this is going to give me the rankings of all the products that relate to the link roller.
Jungle Scout Pro
The brilliant thing is the Jungle Scout extension because gone are the days where you have to go through every single product, write down the price, reviews and rankings. The guys at Jungle Scout have done an exceptional job of creating two products here that complement each other, because all I have to do while Amazon populates a list for this keyword, I’m going to click on the Jungle Scout Pro extension and it’s going to populate everything that I need to know!
Jungle Scout Pro will come up with the price, category, rank, estimated sales, estimated revenue and the number of reviews! So we don’t need to do this manually anymore! This extension does it all for you and you can extract the CSV, the next page, you can filter, you can look at trends, you can do so many different things!
What I take from all this information is that I can start to analyze a bit more by going into keyword inspector and look at a specific product and see where the sales are coming from and what people are searching for.

Summary:
This is how I use the Jungle Scout web app:
- Find different product
- Find the keyword
- Search the keyword
- Analyse the keyword
- See what the information is telling me
The next step!
The next step is to think about if I were to test a particular product, would I be able to find it for cheap, be able to create a listing on Amazon, optimise the listing, get it ranking and advertised and get some sales? That’s what the next stage is in this journey.
I want to be launching multiple products per week and with all this information, I can get some massive action taken!
I’ll have a link for the Jungle Scout web app for you to get into because I think it’s great! I can really filter out products easily and look into the keyword and take some action!
In future videos, I’ll be getting into how I test, how I create listing and how the Amazon ads work!
action and start asking yourself how you can provide value into the marketplace!
