How To Be Motivated Now & Everyday?
Hello everybody, it’s Kev here from LifeSuccessEngineer.com and in this video, I would like to talk about motivation and how to be motivated now and everyday!
Motivation, it’s actually a topic I spoke about last year in one of my first videos and in that video, I explained the difference between a pull motivation and a push motivation, but I do feel like it’s appropriate to revisit.

It’s important to recognize and understand the difference between a push and a pull. When it comes to motivation, about four weeks ago, at the new year, everybody was motivated to change their lives. Everybody was searching for new years motivation, new years inspiration and changing their lives for the better, whether that is starting exercise, whether that is eating healthy, whether it’s learning new skills, everybody was excited. Everybody was committed to take the action necessary but around about the 14th, 15th of January, statistics show that 90% of people have already dropped off.
90% of people have already given up on themselves and given up on the goals that they have already said that they want. Why is that? it’s because they haven’t gone from a push motivation to a pull motivation. They have forgotten to remind themselves of their reasons why. You see, it’s only when you’ve got your reasons, it’s only when you transfer from a should to a must, you will take action.
Everybody should do a lot of things. Everybody should lose a bit of weight. Everybody should do a bit more exercise. Everybody should save a bit of money, but it’s only the people that say I must lose more weight, I must save more money, I must commit the acts to achieve the goals that I want.
It’s only when it’s a must they will actually be motivated enough to take the action, and that comes from your reasons why. You see, I shared that video yesterday about personally my story. Now, we are all different. We all have different reasons, we’ve all come from different backgrounds, we all have different scenarios, we’ve all had different experiences of life, that is life, but it’s whatever happens to you, it’s whatever moments you experience that you think to yourself, do you know what, that was the trigger. That was the moment where I said I need to do this, this is a must for me now. I won’t stop at anything, I don’t care whether it’s cold outside, I don’t care whether I don’t feel up for it too much today, you’ll still take the action because you pulled through the bad times.
You pulled through the good times, you pulled through the bad times. It doesn’t matter because you have your reasons, you’ve made it a must. So you need to really think about your reasons and remind yourself. Do whatever you can to remind yourself everyday and you will be motivated. The people that are not motivated is because they’ve forgotten. They’ve forgotten the conversations that they had within themselves when they set the goals in the first place.
There was a moment around the new year period where people would say, I’m going to stop smoking this year or I’m going to stop drinking this year or I’m going to lose weight, and in those moments, they all said to themselves, I’m going to do this. I am going to do this, and they started to commit actions. They started the year full of motivation, full of the excitement for something new, change, progress. But then it becomes difficult, then it becomes not new anymore and at that point there, they stop asking themselves why. Why did they want that? And they stop reminding themselves daily of the reasons why and it’s only the reasons why for each of us will get you up to take the action because nobody is taking action for you.
It’s only you.
Only you will take the action necessary to achieve your goals. So what I say is cling on to anything you possibly can in your life. No matter what it is, whether it’s big or small, if you’ve gone through an experience which has maybe not been a pleasant experience and it’s had an impact on your life, that is perfect. It’s perfect for you to go, I’m using this reason. I will never again do it. I must make this change, I will make it happen.
Whatever it is, use whatever you have to use, whether it’s your family, whether it’s your friends, whether it’s your children, your parents. Whatever it is, use whatever you’ve got to use to give you that pull motivation. You need that pull motivation because will power only lasts so far.
It’s like the seasons. You’re going to have summer time, you’re going to have winter times. There’s going to be easy times, there’s going to be difficult times and it’s when you are focused on those reasons why you will be pulled.
So I ask you today in this video, what are your reasons? Why do you want to achieve your goals? Why do you want to improve your life? Why is a must for you? Have you reached the point where you have said I’ve had it? Only then will you start taking action and continue to take action until you become the person you need to become.
