My Top 6 Lessons Learned So Far In 2019
I believe that a Mastermind is a way to learn from the people and share your successes and lessons. So, let me share with your my top 6 lessons I've learned in 2019.
I'm going to share with you my 3 personal development lessons and 3 business lessons.
Personal Development Lessons
1. There is NO BALANCE in Life, It's All Around Temporary Sacrifice.
We're trying to balance everything that we do. But the truth is we can't. We really can't, right?
If you're trying to focus on your business, chances are there are areas in your life that's going to get affected. It could be your health, your fitness, or your relationships.
But you know, it's all about sacrificed time scaling. For example, you can set up two weeks to go all in with your business. There are times that you have to sacrifice your habits in order to go all in.
There are times when I say to myself, I'm not going to go for a drink on a weekend because I need to work for my business. I'm not watching Netflix for the next three weeks because I'm absolutely all in.
So, try for yourself to set up a period of time to go all in for something. It could be for your business, your fitness goals, your relationships, any thing that matters to you..
2. Believe In What You Are Doing Is Right & Be True To You.
What can be really challenging as you start your business journey is that there's a lot of noise around you. There can be people telling you to do other things or what you're doing is wrong.
But the truth is you need to believe that what you're doing is right. Don't let other people persuade you in one way or another.
What I've been trying to do is to set goals for my businesses and think that I'm not going to be persuaded by anybody else. If it's not right, we're going to figure it out by ourselves within the team. Don't let any external influence come to you and say that what you're doing is not right.
3. Energy Is Everything & We Have So Much More When Focused In The Right Way (Physically & Mentally)
We have to do everything we can to protect our energy. We go through cycles of every action. We can get lots of energy and motivation today and then get deflated the next day.
Getting as clear as you can on that energy and cycle can really make a big difference.
So, I put myself to be proactive everyday in the office. I make my environment uplifting and empowering. My phone and laptop's screen saver is all about the massive action ecosystem. It's all about increasing energy as much as possible.
If you feel deflated or unmotivated right now, making 1, 2, 3 steps of progress can really make a big difference. Energy is everything. Take action and you'll see how much progress you already have.
Business Lessons
1. Understanding That Help Is Required On Your Journey
As you go on your business journey, you need to understand that you need help every now and then. You will need to open up parts of your business and life that are private.
What do I mean by that? As I started to build up my business, I needed to give up control and empower my team.
If you're empowering people, you're now bringing people in your business and becoming more mature by putting processes involved. Just like in my business, we've included team members and virtual assistants, and try to empower them to be in the business.
As you grow your business, you're going to have to give away and ask for help.
2. It Never Gets Easier, You Get Better. Seasons Of Business.
Business and life never get easier. As you grow your business, it will never get easier. Do you agree?
So, what makes it easier? Your business gets easier because you become better. You grow as a person, as leader, as a business owner. You get to learn how to manage your finances and your team better. You evolve as a leader, a manager, a visionary and an entrepreneur. You learn different skills and how to make things quicker and more efficient.
It never gets easier. You become better.
Understand that you've got seasons in life and business. If you're in a difficult situation right now, remember that after the winter, there is spring. After difficulty, there is opportunity.
Keep changing your approach until it's a success.
3. Diversification Has Never Been More Important.
You've got to transfer your control and diversify. In these past couple of months, I've been holding discussions about diversification to different business models and how to leverage business and introduce affiliate marketing, information products, and events.
If you're not in control of a platform like Amazon, changes can impact your business. Things are changing. That's why you need to be proactive and diversify for the long term.
