Online Arbitrage Amazon Q4 Q&A!

​​Now that we're entering Q4 of 2018, it's time for Amazon Q4 Q&A. Basically, we're answering Online Arbitrage related questions coming from people who want to start or just starting their business, and some who are already experienced sellers.

How do you plan for your Q4? Go over through these questions and answers so that you can get an idea on how you can end Q4 with a bang! You can also take a look at our Online Arbitrage Amazon Q1 Q&A! for some other questions that rose up from the first quarter of the year.

#1: What are the biggest tips for first ever Q4?

First of all, Q4 is super, super exciting! If you're in Online Arbitrage, and this is your first ever Q4, this is gonna be super exciting! This is my fourth Q4. I've learned a little bit over the last few years and I want to give you the best advice that I've got.

  • One of the most important things is to make sure that you're in the game! Get your products at Amazon sell-ready.

  • Third, try getting some help. More help, the better.

    Don't get caught too short. Stop purchasing and shipping for Christmas. And kick off back in early January.

#2: Is there any change for sourcing strategy for Q4?

Yes and No. What does this mean?

My strategy all year round doesn't change in philosophy. However, you need to learn analyzing real time data so you can strategize for your business. By analyzing real time data for your seller central, or Keepa, or Camel camel camel, you would know if the demand has increased and when to replenish your stocks, etc.

#3: How to avoid Amazon suspension in Q4?

I had a suspension in September 2017, which was apparently prior to Q4. And it was a real like crap! Putting a lot of money in Amazon, you get suspended and don't reap the rewards.

  • First and foremost, make sure that you are complying to the terms and conditions of Amazon. Make sure that you are up-to-date with the documentation as much as possible.
  • Get invoices for anything that you buy. Amazon requests for invoices if there is a complaint with the product. 
  • Be aware of your performance notifications in your seller central.

    Make sure that your quality control is as good as possible.

    Make sure you comply with Amazon's weight and sizes of boxes, as well as the layers of protection. 

#4: Tactical Arbitrage or Sourcing Lists at the beginning?

Sourcing is the most important thing because that's where you're getting all your products. But the truth is, sourcing is very difficult.

  • If you do manual sourcing, I'd recommend to use all the chrome plugins. Check out this article about The Ultimate Online Arbitrage Toolkit.
  • When it comes to TA, my recommendation is to start with OA Sourcing List and move on to Virtual Assistance TA.

#5: How to be consistent with sourcing?

The most important thing with Online Arbitrage business is we have to be consistent with sourcing.

#6: What are the best tools to use to speed up the sourcing process?

Doing manual sourcing is absolutely fine. Back in 2015, I did manual sourcing but I quickly went into the best tools such as chrome plugins to speed up the process.

Use as much as possibly can to support your journey.

#7: Are you allowed to sell during the Christmas period?

If you are using FBA, then you're gonna be okay.

#8: What is the pricing strategy for Q4?

PLEASE do not penny battle with each other! Do not under price each other.

If we are sharing the buy box, we will all make sale. What I recommend you to do is set and forget your Repricer. Extract a report from Amazon, look at what's happening with your buy boxes. #9: How to manage customer feedback in Q4?

Customer feedback impacts the health and security of your business.

Make sure that everything is right. Make sure that the products are quality-controlled. You don't want to piss the customer off by shipping them something that they don't want. Be as proactive as possible. Get customer message templates set off so you can be as quickly as possible responding to them within 24 hours.

#10: How to Maximise Your Profit this Q4?

How I have developed my business is through virtual assistance, spreadsheets, management reports, sourcing lists. All these things are put in place through systematization of our business.
