These Positive Daily Habits CHANGED My Life!
Will Durant once said,
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.”
And I couldn’t agree more – because I have experienced first-hand how negative daily actions can lead to negative results, and how, on the other hand, positive daily habits can absolutely transform your life for the better.
I started out on my own journey of entrepreneurship back in 2015, when I set up my Amazon FBA business, alongside my partner Kylie. But entrepreneurship is not just a business journey: it’s a journey of self-growth, personal development and learning to become the best version of you, that you can be.
Right at the beginning of my journey, I learnt from one of my first ever mentors Jim Rohn that “success is a few simple disciplines practised every day” and that “failure is a few errors in judgement repeated every day”. It’s the things that we do every single day that compound over time and become our life – and we get to decide if that ends up being a life that we’re proud of, or one that we feel has been wasted.
From that day on, I began to implement a number of positive daily habits to help me on my way to living the life of my dreams and now that I look back, I can quite truthfully say that these daily habits absolutely changed my life.🙏🏼

My Five Daily Habits
1. Work on my own personal development
Beginning with my own personal development is how I actually started out on my entrepreneurial journey. As I said, the two go hand-in-hand.
I craved to fill my mind with all things positive and productive, and I satisfied that craving through constant learning: feeding my mind with new thoughts, new skills, new ideas and so much more.
To this very day, my personal development is a huge priority for me which is why I carve out time every single day to read, listen to a podcast or an audio programme or watch something uplifting and insightful on YouTube.
There is a whole wealth of positive and inspiring content out there, and that means that people who were once not accessible before the time of the internet, now can very easily become your mentor if you’re willing to spend time to learn from them. I’ve studied the lives of those who inspire me to live my best life such as Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Tony Robbins and many others, and I continue to learn from these incredible powerhouses every single day.
And you too can do the same.
2. Set goals and targets
You may think that setting goals and targets is a once or twice a year thing, but for me, setting goals is a daily practice.
Goals keep you focussed and motivated and continue to help you to take massive action every day.
I started setting goals and targets for myself by figuring out what I wanted in life that wasn’t currently in my experience. This, of course, included goals for my Amazon FBA business but as well as that, I began to think about my relationships, my lifestyle, my health, my finances and more.
Now, every day, I set mini-goals according to my major goals asking myself, “what can I do today that will bring me one step closer to achieving that goal tomorrow?”.
This really works for me and helps to ensure that no matter what is going on in life, I am always working towards something better.
3. Build a structure for productivity
Success doesn’t just happen. You have to work towards it consistently and vigilantly. That’s why I highly recommend creating a structure for boosting productivity that works for you.
For me, every single day is structured from start to finish. I’m very strategic about my days and utilise the use of online calendars massively, using tools like Google Calendar to schedule in every part of my day.
These schedules include blocks of time for my morning rituals, meetings, deep work sessions (check out the book Deep Work by Cal Newport – game-changer!) and even sleep. Whatever goes in the calendar gets done – and that’s just how I choose to live!
You might not see the need for scheduling in absolutely everything, but structuring the main parts of your day so you can focus on the things that need to be done strategically will really help to set you up for success.
4. Focus on 3 growth tasks every day
I set myself three growth tasks every day that have to get done: these are tasks in the areas of my life that are most important to me, such as family, personal growth and business.
For example, when it comes to family, my partner and I drop our kids off to school and pick them up every day. We also ensure that we have dinner together every evening. For me, these are hugely fulfilling and important parts of my life because, for me, family comes first.
In personal development, my morning routine is vital. You can learn more about the importance of having a morning routine for Amazon sellers in the following video:
And then in business, a growth task is defined by actions which help your business to grow. This could be anything to do with system creation, team development, marketing, content creation, and more.
If I get three growth tasks done on a daily basis, that day goes down as a win in the books and I can end my day satisfied.
5. Set myself up to win
When you embark upon a new journey, especially in business or personal development, you’ll probably start by setting yourself some really big goals; goals that will take a year, two years or ten years to achieve. The reality is, they take a long time to get to and that can be demotivating sometimes.
So to keep motivated, focussed and on track, I think it’s really important to set up ways that you can win on a daily basis. For me, that is the completion of my growth tasks, but this can look different for everyone.
Ask yourself what a good day looks like for you. What will it take to get to the end of your day every day and go to bed satisfied and happy? Then focus on those things and make them a priority.
When I say take massive action every day, it doesn’t mean take massive action ALL day. Take the massive action needed to win your day, every day, and celebrate those wins along the way. In fact, celebrate every part of your journey, because it’s the journey that will deliver you to your ultimate destination.
The above five habits have literally changed my life – and I say that with no exaggeration whatsoever.
Since starting this journey in 2015, it has become so important for me to take action every day (no matter how small or big) so that I can continue to learn, grow and give even more back. And I’ve experienced more than I could have ever possibly imagined along the way.
So find positive habits that work for you and what you want to accomplish, and stick to them on a daily basis. Of course, these can and will change over time, but as long as you have them in place, one day you’ll look back and be so grateful that you started when you did.
As always, here’s to YOUR massive success!
