Wholesale in 2020: 5 Insights from Izaak & Brandon of SuccessCreation.co.uk 👀
I’m super stoked to be introducing two great friends of mine to you, Izaak and Brandon, here on the blog today.
We recently got together and had a good chat about wholesale in 2020, so in this blogpost I’m going to be sharing valuable insights from them on wholesale selling and how to make 2020 profitable and powerful.

Izaak and Brandon's Story
Let me start by telling you a little bit about the pair; who are quite honestly two of the most humble, inspiring and hard-working people I’ve ever had the chance to meet.
Izaak and Brandon are two best friends and UK based Amazon sellers, from the brand successcreation.co.uk. They started out as a couple of 19-year-olds with £700 in their pockets and big dreams of breaking the mould, building a successful business and escaping the typical 9-5 rat-race lifestyle.
In August 2016, in their bedrooms, they started their journey of selling online through retail and online arbitrage, investing £700 and working tirelessly day after day to make their dreams come true. After only a short period of time, the now 22-year-olds transitioned to a 2,500 square foot warehouse and went from only doing online arbitrage, to selling wholesale and private label, too!
I am genuinely so proud of all that they’ve achieved and even more grateful to call them two of my closest friends. Together, they are a prime example of “taking massive action everyday” and I know they’ll continue to climb to greater and greater heights - and I can’t wait to see just how far this journey will take them.

Top Insights on Wholesale in 2020
Here are some of the top insights they shared when we met up recently - drawing from their own experiences - on wholesale…
1. You can find your first wholesale supplier using Google!
Izaak and Brandon found their first supplier in wholesale while running their online arbitrage business - and they used our good old trusted pal, Google!
The first time they went on the search for a wholesale supplier, they literally googled ‘wholesale’ and didn’t have much success. However they learnt from this and realised the more specific you are with your google search the better.
Izaak shared, “with Google, you get out what you put in”, emphasising just how important it is to use Google well, and the team landed their first wholesale supplier who they established a great relationship with, through the world’s biggest search engine after a thorough and more specific search.
So Google away, guys - who knows what you might find!
2. You don’t need a massive amount of money to get started
In order to help anyone out who’s looking to get into wholesale, I asked the pair outrightly whether you need thousands and thousands of pounds to get started.
Quite honestly, they explained that a good figure to start out with in wholesale is £5,000 and that the more capital there is, the better.
Despite that, they also expressed that you can even start out with £1,000 or even less, as some minimum order quantities can even be just £300. It may be trickier and may require more work, but it can definitely be done.
And what if you don’t have any money at all?
Well the twosome also had a solution for that, sharing that you could use credit cards, as long as you’re completely aware of the process and know that you will make the money back to pay off the card. It’s all about being smart, organised and having a lot of self-belief.
3. If you’ve never shipped a pallet before, do this
From starting out in their bedrooms, to getting to the point where they quit their jobs and moved into a warehouse, it’s fair to say that these two know more than most about shipping pallets to Amazon.
Here are some of the top tips they shared:
- Check Amazon’s rules and regulations on shipping pallets to them - you don’t want yours to be rejected
- Find the best courier for you that is dedicated to you
- Make sure you have everything you need, such as the right type of pallets, case labels, clear wrap and pallet toppers
- Have the space to do it - whether that means using a prep centre or renting your own warehouse, then it must be done. You will not be able to ship out pallets from your home (unless your home is the size of a warehouse with ample spare space!)
4. Make the most of trade shows
I’ve already shared my top wholesale tips for attending trade shows right here on the blog, nevertheless I thought it would be useful to ask Izaak and Brandon, too.
They said that their number ONE tip when it comes to trade shows is to avoid overthinking. Izaak shared something that we all know and probably have experienced: that when you go to your first trade show, you’ll be well out of your comfort zone and probably feeling a little overwhelmed by it all.
To combat this, he recommends going up to the first supplier you see at their stand and striking up a conversation. It doesn’t matter if this is the right person or not - what matters is that this first conversation will help you to snap out of your overwhelm and get yourself right into the swing of things.
The team of two also expressed not to worry too much! They said that even if you think you’ve messed it up with a supplier that you really wanted, the game is not over and there’s always a chance that things can switch around. It was third time lucky for the boys in securing a supplier that they really wanted to work with, who is now one of their main suppliers - so don’t ever give up!
5. When you receive a catalogue, do your research well
So you’ve built up a relationship with a potential supplier and their catalogue of products has just come through your door.
I asked the guys to share some tips on what to do when you receive your first catalogue, and here’s what they disclosed…
- Look for consistency in the line - consistency in sales and consistency in the price
- Do your calculations meticulously. Know exactly what your margin is
- Use the following tools: Keepa, FBA Multitool, Tactical Arbitrage and FBA Wizard
And that's everything! I hope you find these boys, their story and their tips as inspiring and as useful as I do. Don't forget to watch the YouTube video and subscribe to the Life Success Engineer channel, as well as the Success Creation channel, too!
Wishing you every success in your 2020 wholesale journey. Let’s go get it!
